Meet Dr. Suzanne King
Dr. Suzanne King was accepted into Emory Dental School after only three years of college and was one of only eight women in the entire dental school. She was the first woman accepted into the orthodontic program at Emory and was the first female orthodontist in the state of Georgia. She has been the go-to Atlanta orthodontist for almost 40 years. Drs. King and McCune are the first mother/daughter partnership in the state and one of only a handful in the country.
Dr. King married her high school sweetheart, Thad King, who graduated from the Lovett School. They have four grown children and love being empty nesters. They have eight grandchildren but are convinced that they don’t look old enough for that!
Dr. King focuses on giving back to her local community as well as the world. Locally, she is heavily involved with treating members of the Lost Boys of Sudan, and she volunteers at the Good Samaritan Dental Clinic. She is active with the Christian Medical and Dental Association and travels abroad with them, treating people who have never had the chance to see a dentist.

Meet Dr. Virginia McCune
Joining the practice in 2011, Dr. Virginia McCune was excited to be a part of her mother’s orthodontic practice. She practically grew up in the office, between having two sets of braces herself and working there during the summers while she was in school. Dr. King and Dr. McCune are the first mother/daughter partnership in Georgia and one of only a handful in the nation.
Dr. McCune graduated at the top of her dental school class and was one of only two seniors who were elected to both OKU, the national dental academic society, and AUPhi, the national dental service society that acknowledges service and leadership. She completed her orthodontic residency training at the Medical College of Georgia in December 2010. In 2011, she pursued board certification and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. McCune is fluent in French and Spanish, which has helped tremendously as she can communicate with patients from around the world.
Similar to her mother, Dr. McCune is very involved in dental missions. She participated in mission trips every year in dental school, ultimately leading 40 people to Bulgaria her senior year.
Dr. McCune is married to Dave McCune, whom she met when they were students together at Dartmouth. They are the proud parents of Hannah, James, Harper and Molly.

Meet Dr. Stephanie Moore
Dr. Moore, originally from Johns Creek, GA, graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in Biology. She then attended dental school at the Medical College of Georgia where she was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society and graduated in the top of her class.
Dr. Moore completed a 2½ year residency at the Medical College of Georgia and received her specialty certificate in orthodontics. Shortly after graduation, Dr. Moore pursued board certification and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. She is always learning new things and likes to stay up to date on the latest technology and research. Dr. Moore has even become certified by the American Academy of Facial Esthetics in botulinum toxins (botox/disport,etc) and dermal fillers
Dr. Moore is a fourth generation dentist in her family, but the first orthodontist! Having braces herself, in 6th grade, peaked her interest in this profession and she has loved it ever since.
Dr. Stephanie Moore married her college sweetheart, Lonnie, in 2006. Lonnie graduated from Georgia State University and is an accountant at Frazier & Deeter. They are the proud parents of Preston, Hudson, and Brooklyn. In Dr. Moore’s spare time she loves crafting, baking, traveling, and most of all spending time with family and friends.

Financial Coordinator
My cousin was Dr. King’s first employee, and I was her second. In the beginning, I answered the phones, assisted with patients, and worked in the lab. I love meeting the children of our original patients. I will schedule many of your appointments, and help with all of your financial arrangements.

Treatment Coordinator
I am Carol’s younger sister and we work together at the front desk. I started at our office as a patient when I was nine years old, and then began working here in 2006. In my free time, I love to read, and am always looking for a great new book. I will be the first person you meet when you come to our office!
Cassidy (Cass)
Clinical Assistant / Invisalign Coordinator
I joined the practice in 2016 and love getting to know our patients while assisting the doctors with their treatment. I also love pink, glitter, cats, and anything outdoors. In my free time, I enjoy going on hikes, reading, and cheering on my favorite football team, LSU. GEAUX TIGERS!

Clinical Assistant / Lab Coordinator
I started working at King and McCune in 2014, thanks to my aunt, Angie, who worked with Dr. King for over 20 years. I love the friendly environment at the office, and I enjoy getting to know the patients. I will make many of your retainers in our in-office lab. In my free time, I enjoy reading, watching anime, and going to the occasional concert.

I joined the office in 2022 and help ensure you receive your full insurance benefits! Both of my kids and my husband are patients here and we love being a part of this orthodontic family! Our weekends are spent traveling and cheering on my kids’ sports teams.

I had braces as an adult with Dr Moore at her previous office (along with 2 of my children)and am so excited to now be working with her and Drs King and McCune. I help with all the day to day tasks in the front office while also helping you schedule your appointments at times that are convenient for your busy schedule! Fun Fact- I’m also a substitute teacher!

I am about to start the process of applying to dental school and am so excited to be a part of this fun and rewarding profession! In my spare time I love to play golf and cheer on the Auburn Tigers!

I have been involved in the orthodontic industry since 1999. I worked until 2009 then took a decade off to care for my children. Upon returning to the workforce I tried other career paths but could not shake my passion for orthodontics. I love the mechanics involved during the transformation process but the most satisfaction I get from working with the KMMO team is seeing the finished product and enjoying all of the beautiful smiles. In my free time I love to cook, especially authentic multicultural recipes, spending time with my family, and vacations to the beach.

I joined the office in 2023 and LOVE being an orthodontic assistant! When not at the office I am taking classes at KSU to work towards my goal of applying to dental school to become a dentist! When I have more free time I would love to travel and see the world!
